Emergency Room

So Saturday I was feeling a little cruddy and while we were on our way home from Nashville I told Stew that I really needed to go to the ER. So Stew dropped me off and then took the kids home. Last time I went a week and a half ago I waited for almost 3 hours and I wasn't ever seen. Well, last night I brought that up to the nurse and she said that I would be seen right away because I had a temperature of 104.6!! I told the nurse that I had a bad headache, a little nausea, a little pain when I had to go to the bathroom, and that it felt like I was punched in the kidneys. I also would get the chills and shake really bad......as if I was in the snow without a sweater or jacket. The nurse told me to leave a urine sample and then she gave me some Motrin and Gatorade and told me to wait in the lobby again. A half hour later I was called back to a room and then the doctor came in and talked with me. He ordered a chest xray, blood work and an IV. About 10:00pm the doctor came in and said that I had a bad kidney infection and that he was going to admit me to the hospital...that taking antibiotics at home would take longer for me to get better. As I waited some more another doctor came in and was asking how I was feeling and I told her my symptoms and then told her what the other doctor had said and she told me that she would write me a prescription for the antibiotic and that I could go home if I pinky-promised to take my antibiotics everyday and drink more than 64oz of water a day. Also I have to go and see her on Tuesday. I am feeling a little better, but not 100%. Oh, and I was down at the hospital all by myself. I got into the ER at 8pm and I called Stew at 1:15am to have him come pick me up.
