Lately...

Not much has happened in the past week and a half. I am still struggling with the passing of Uncle Brant, but I am trying to come to terms with it. I am trying to see the bigger picture. I still get teary-eyed when I look at a picture of him, but I know that he is happy, he is perfect again, and most importantly... he is being taken care of by many loved ones. Just thinking that has helped a little. Some of Brant's friends got some bracelets made (like the LIVEstrong ones)...... and I got mine the other day. Now all I need to do is take a picture of them with my best "rock on" fist and send it in to his memorial website.

So I have been counting down...... It is a long countdown, but that is okay... It is a countdown for Stew, for when he will be done with school. So far I am only doing it by semesters. So...... There are 8 more weeks left in this semester!! YAY! I am seriously so happy about this! Next Monday starts the "staying-down-at-the-school-or-library-until-really-late!" Not really looking forward to that, but I know it has to happen. I will be SO happy once it is Winter Break and we get to see Stew for more than a couple hours a day!!! YAY!!!

Stew and I were talking the other day, trying to come up with ideas for our Christmas tree this year. We gave our Christmas Tree away to our dear friends, the Sclaters, when we left Kentucky last October...... so as of right now we don't have a Christmas Tree. We are trying to decide between a 4ft pre-lit tree or a real tree. Also...we have a few ornaments, but not enough to make our tree fabulous like the past few years. So...we are making a lot of them. We are going to have strings of popcorn, candy canes, Cinnamon Applesauce ornaments, tinsel (it is SO cheap that we could afford some of this), and a few more things. I am so excited to have an "old-fashioned" Christmas this year!!!
