I have been trying very hard to get into the Christmas mood by helping decorate, making treats, listening to music, etc......but when it come to shopping for gifts, I'm just not feeling it. I can't believe how hard it is to buy gifts for Stew, the kids, and Stew's mom when we are on such a limited budget. Christmas isn't about presents and things like that...... It's about being able to spend time with our loved ones and bringing Christ into Christmas............ but when your child is SO flippin excited about getting presents from Santa and you aren't able to give him very much it just sucks! Ryan doesn't know any different, but Ethan keeps telling me everyday that Santa is going to bring him presents... and we just don't have very much money to do so. Someday I won't have to worry about this, but right now it is really bringing me down.I am almost looking forward to it being over soon so I don't have to worry about it for another year.

Good luck! Head over to the dollar store and see what they've got. My kids always love stuff from there!
Just a little heads up that might help a bit, Gymboree has a big huge, grab a bag sale this coming Thursday. It is 30% off everything in the store and if you have a coupon (you can get them from "parenting" magazine and a few others as well as by signing up with their email for the future) it can make stuff about 50% off. Sale or regular priced stuff. Last year I got gads of stuff for less than $50. Probably over $500 worth at least. They have cute doggie sweaters for Ethan for $13 minus the 30% minus the coupon when they are regularily $40.Lots of other styles too. they make great stocking stuffers and fill a lot of space. (I always find awesome T-shirts for less than $5, etc) Also, It is stuff he will need and other people will most likely get him toys, etc. If I were you I would go and put stuff on hold on Wednesday (it will be SO crazy and hard to look on Thursday) and then just pick it up on Thursday. Just a thought. I love you!!
