We had a WONDERFUL Christmas. To start things off, last night we had Christa and her family over. We had appetizers for supper and played some games. We also exchanged gifts with them. Stew and I decided last year that every Christmas Eve we are going to get the kids a pair of "Christmas Pjs"...... Ethan's are blue with bears skiing and Ryan's are purple with Eeyore on them. Before Ethan went to bed we had a visitor......SANTA (Stew's dad played the part... We didn't even know he was coming)! Ethan was so stinkin excited. Ethan slept in Grandma's room last night because we didn't want him coming downstairs and breaking into his stuff early. We didn't get up until 8am!
Ethan and Ryan looked at the stuff they got from Santa and then Cindy started breakfast. We had a Breakfast Casserole (I will post the recipe on my food blog)...... It took an hour to cook so we decided to open presents. Ethan got a nice pair of jeans from us, a jacket from Lynette, a Semi that holds 3-4 Monster trucks...... and the stuff he got from Santa was 4 Hot wheel cars, a Street rug (for his cars), a sweater and touque that match, some candy, and a Batman and villain action figure. He also got a couple monster trucks and a track from Christa and her family. Ryan got a bunch of clothes......a purple outfit from us, a Leopard outfit from Gymboree from Grandma, a Rabbit sweater from Lynette, a couple pairs of pants, 2 sweaters, a bunch of headbands, and a baby doll. She also got two outfits from Christa and her family.
I got 2 sweaters, a pair of Gasoline jeans (which I have to take back and get a different size), a pair of boots, gloves to play out in the snow (from Grandma) and a pair of pj pants (from Grandma). Stew got a T-Shirt, a Black over shirt, a really nice sweater (those things were from the kids and I) and then he also got a scarf and Left for Dead 2 (both from Grandma). We also got some Jungle Animal pancake molds, a heart egg ring, a Monkey spatula, an apron for Ethan, and Super Mario Bros for our Wii!!!
Even thought our Christmas was really small we have had a great day today. Next year we are excited because we get to spend it with Lynette and her family!!
